Little Hoo is a young owl who lives in a big, old tree. He is the only owl in the tree, and he loves to be the center of attention. He loves to hear his own voice, and he loves to see the other animals look at him in awe.

One day, a new animal moves into the tree. It is a small, brown mouse named Squeaky. Squeaky is very shy, and he is afraid of everything. Little Hoo is not very nice to Squeaky. He makes fun of Squeaky's size, and he calls him names.

One day, Little Hoo is playing in the tree when he falls out of a branch. He lands on the ground with a thud, and he is badly hurt. Squeaky sees what happens, and he rushes to Little Hoo's side. Squeaky helps Little Hoo to his feet, and he takes him back to his nest.

Little Hoo is very grateful to Squeaky, and he starts to realize that he has been very mean to him. He apologizes to Squeaky, and he promises to be nicer to him from now on.

Little Hoo and Squeaky become good friends, and they learn to appreciate each other's differences. Little Hoo learns that it is not all about him, and that it is important to be kind to others.
